A portal opens...

“I’d almost be tempted to try as the challenge seems fun but I think I’ll refrain.”

Astra twiddles her thumbs for a moment, sitting in the uneasy silence for a moment.

”So uhm…how did you become Commander, Selena? I feel like managing three armies is hard. My group in the Sihde can be hard to control when the newbies join the Coven.”

She turns her attention to boy again, “Miquella was it? You’re the new charge? What are you in charge of?”

The sound of a door swinging violently open again rings through the air, followed by several footfalls. The Sanctum Ward drops as the previously imprisoned Guild Members stumble on unsure feet into the reception area. They are all holding their heads as though willing away a nightmare while drunkenly making their way over to the sitting area and falling into the cushions.

Ivan and Marquanthis reenter the room, both with annoyed grimaces washed across their faces. Ivan stops in front of the large guardian sentineling the main door.

"Security override, codeword Procella Autumn. Ward unlock. Guardians, resume previous commands. Security standby set to phase 36."

The wards shimmer with a brief white light and the guardians all simultaneously lift their heads.

Ivan takes a brief look around, pausing to lock eyes with Selena.

"Nope."

He turns and briskly makes his way back into the Inner Sanctum, raising the ward behind him.

"He's my charge. I'm a knight. It means I'm responsible for him now. I was given an order by my previous guild master to protect him, so, now he's mine to protect and teach."
She sighs and leans back, resting on the palms of her hands. "And as for how I became commander, that is a very long story. But I'll shorten it with shit happens, don't touch random cards, and I'm good at my job."

Selena smiles and stands, tucking her weapons away. "Outer ward down." She steps in with an over exaggerated step over the ward.
"Outer ward up. Miquella? Marquanthis? If you please?" She motions for the inner ward to be lowered for her. "Come on Sparky! Don't run! You know running only makes it worse!"

With the ring of a bell, Astra chants under her breath. Her hair moves with the wind before settling.

“May the winds take my words so the wards may open. Return and take down the wards.”

Astra shakes her head a moment, yawning. “Wow, I forgot how much that takes out of you. Those minor chants and spells really do a number when you haven’t…” She yawns loudly. “…haven’t done them in awhile.”

Lorielle stands and follows Ivan to the doorway. "Ward down" and steps through "ward up". Then follows Ivan silently down the hall.

[OOP: The inner and outer wards will now raise and lower for those with previous permissions.]

Selena scoffs as she watches Lorielle walk away. "Rude."
She huffs and crosses her arms over her chest grumbling under her breath in a deep growly language and shakes her head, turning back to Marquanthis.
"Please? I haven't seen him in awhile! Let me bother him! Please?"
