A Tovi arrives in town...

"I've got some dough proofing at home. Decided I'd make some filling breads to bring out and pass out to people later. And Edgar and Midorya are going to help me see if we can spare anything from our garden. Maybe we can host another meal night with the guild master?!"

Zinna smiles wide and claps her hands together excitedly as she longs around. "Vesta and I can cook, and Connor can help pass it out. Kalil, you can Edgar can help with cleaning up and security... That is if you don't mind helping Vesta?"

Vesta pops her head out, still stirring something in a bowl.

"We'll have cinnamon rolls, chocolate croissants, some smaller pastries with strawberry filling. I made blueberry muffins yesterday that still need to be eaten... Also a sourdough loaf. And I just put some butter rolls in, I'll make a savory spread for them."

She goes back inside for a brief moment before coming out with a different bowl.

"And of course I have some dried fruits and meats as well. Sorry it's just baked goods, I love bread a little too much!"

She laughs, her jewelry jingling as she does. Vesta listens to Zinna's plan and visibly bounces up and down excitedly.

"I would love to! Especially if it will cheer up the faces around here. The town looks like it could use a nice cake or two." She looks between the group, gears turning in her head. "What you said... is there some kind of shortage going on?"

Connor smiles and nods. "I think that's a great idea. It would really help the people out and maybe bring some light back into their days." He turns towards Vesta. "Yes, there's a food shortage. It's getting worse and worse." He sighs but then smiles again. "I have heard there is a group that's helping out though. So that's nice."

Kalil grins. "It all sounds tasty to me, Vesta." He looks between Connor and Vesta, his eyes lingering on Connor. "Yeah. I can't do much but I'll provide security and help however I can. See what we can spare from our own supplies." His tilts his head at Connor. "How much do we know about this group that's helping people?"

Connor shrugs. "Just that they are going around in large carriages and giving out lots of food for nothing in return."

Kalil let's out a "hm" and nods his head.

"That doesn't sound good... Should I make whatever I've got left in here? Pass it out?" Vesta frowns. "I feel guilty making breakfast out here if people are hungry..."

She listens to Kalil and Connor's conversation intently, brows furrowing.

"Your Highness, if it would ease your mind, I could try and see the intentions of these carriages? Of course I would hope that they simply wish to help the people, but vulnerable people tend to attract bad characters."

"That's a wonderful idea! I'll go run back to the manor really quickly and grab what breakfast pastries I have made already and some more ingredients to make more! We can whip up some muffins in no time!" Zinna smiles and bounces up from her chair and rushes off to the portal without really waiting for response or an escort.

Edgar starts to take off after her, but just rolls his eyes and chuckles as she disappears through the portal. Turning to Vesta, Edgar tilts his head slightly in question. "See the intentions? I'm guessing you've got the sight?"

Vesta laughs as Zinna runs off, happy at the Princess' excitement. As Edgar asks the question, she turns to him.

"Oh, yes. I mostly use my runes, though other-" She gasps and her eyes widen. "Shoot! The rolls!"

She runs into the vardo and the oven door can be heard opening.

Her voice carries out, "We're good! They're fine!"
