A Tovi arrives in town...

Edgar stands when Vesta does and helps her clear the table, taking dishes from her so she doesn't have to carry them to their wash bin.

Zinna stands and fixes her skirts. "I am going to go check on de orphanage. Have not been able to get over there in a little while. If you like children, you could accompany me, or you can go to meet Miquella, the guildmaster. Vould be a good idea to meet him and get plans together for town meal."

"I probably should check in.."
"No. She said she'd come out here and meet Vesta, you can guard me until she does so. I know dat if you go back to de manor, you two will get caught up with your training and everything else and she'll never get out here." Edgar grins and hold back a chuckle, then bows at the waist, tucking one hand behind his back. "Yes princess. I shall stay and guard you until otherwise ordered."

Zinna smiles wide and turns back to Vesta. "So, to de orphanage or to de guild of light?"

Vesta gives Edgar a gentle smile. "Thank you, Sir Edgar."

She turns to everyone.

"I sent him a letter a while back expressing that I wished to meet and speak with him. I haven't gotten a response, however. I may wait to meet with the Guildmaster until then, Baroness Jade as well." She frowns. "I definitely do not wish to arrive unannounced. Perhaps if you let him know that I have arrived in town, he could set aside some time to work out the details of the town meal?"

As Vesta turns to answer Zinna, her eyes light up.

"I would love to accompany you to the orphanage, if you don't mind my tagging along. We could even whip up some cookies before we go!"

Zinna smiles brightly at the mention of Jade and claps her hands together. "OH! Jade! She is like family as well.. she is... cousin. Ba's known her since she was very young, and has sort of watched over her and helped her grow where she can. She's darkness, but she doesn't ... force it on you too much. She does have a poor little creature that seems to be her best friend and she treats it like her child, but he's an undead squirrel named Charles. He seems... pleasant enough... for a rotting squirrel."

Zinna looks uneasy for a moment, before she shudders and shakes her head, a smile reforming on her face. "But Jade is wonderful! I can't wait for you to meet her!"

At the mention of cookies, Zinna nods in agreement. "Yes! After I check in and see how things are going and what's needed, we can sit the children down for cookies and a nice quiet story time. Might help settle their nerves in all this chaos."

"Jade? I like Jade. She... She see's more than she lets on. She's good people. I know Darkness isn't really a Tovi's thing but give her a chance." Kalil smiles.

He turns to Connor and Connor reaches for his hand.

"Shall we?" Kalil grins as he slips his hand into Connor's and then turns to wave at Vesta and Zinna. "We'll be at the Guild of Light if you need us. Thank you for breakfast, Vesta. I'm glad we got to see you." He looks to Edgar. "I wortomho, Edgar."

They wait for a moment in case anyone has anything to say to them and then Connor waves before they head off for the Guild of Light.

"Of course! Thank you for visiting. It's always a pleasure to see you." Vesta smiles. "I had sent her a letter too, had a vision with her in it. Nothing urgent but I still figured I better tell her. Haven't heard back from her either.... But it has been chaos around here. So understandable."

Vesta says her goodbyes to the princes and pulls Zinna into the vardo.

"What kind of cookies shall we make? Chocolate chip? White chocolate with macadamia nuts? Oh! Or I've seen some villages where they put little candies in them. I haven't tried it yet. What do you think?"

She's practically bouncing with excitement.

Edgar nods to Kalil as they leave, then turns his attention back to Vesta and Zinna, peaking inside the vardo trying to watch them work without getting in the way. "What about those apple cinnamon oatmeal cookies you made a couple weeks ago? Those were delicious and semi healthy and filling for the children."

Zinna smiles and nods again. "Yes! I can make some of those and you can make some chocolate chips ones for them. I'll need to run back to the manor to get ingredients though. I already have some apples cut up for a pie I was planning for later." She says turning to Vesta, excited to have someone to cook with.
