A Tovi arrives in town...

Connor smiles and nods. "Sure. I'll try to keep you in the loop. Well, maybe more than just you depending on what we learn."

Kalil nudges Connor. "Worry about that later. Eat. You haven't had anything all day and we've got training today."

Connor waves him off and shakes his head then says mockingly. "Yes, sir."

Kalil rolls his eyes and Connor laughs but he does fill up his plate and begin eating.

"Thank you for looking into it Vesta." Kalil adds some meat to Connor's plate and Connor slaps his hand.

Edgar watches Vesta carefully again as she uses her abilities once more, and once more relaxing and returning to his meal when she's done.

Zinna only grabs one of the offered cinnamon rolls, picking at it slowly as she watches everyone else eat with a small smile and a chuckle at Connor and Kalil.

about 10-15 minutes into the meal, a soldier walks up with another basket and brings it to Zinna. Zinna smiles, and looks around the soldier, rolling her eyes before turning her attention and smile back.

The soldier bows to Kalil, then Connor and Zinna. "Good morning. Commander sent me to deliver these to you."

"Thank you. Can you go ahead and have someone pass them out to the people of the city? Anyone who seems like they're hungry and in need?"

"Right away Princess." The soldier bows again and turns on his heel to carry out his order as Zinna returns to her meal with a hmph.

Vesta watches everyone with a smile as she eats, enjoying the company. Eventually, she leans over to Zinna and whispers in Tovi, "You'll never believe what Raissa did before I left." Her eyes sparkle with amusement, happy to share gossip with her friend.

Zinna turns to Vesta and responds in the same language and excitement. "Vat did she do?"

Edgar glances over at the change in language, but quickly returns his attention to his food and the soldiers around them.

Kalil and Connor both chat quietly to each other, now speaking in another language themselves, when Zinna and Vesta swap to Tovi.

Vesta giggles, excited to share the story.

"So there's this boy that's younger than me, so definitely too young for Raissa, but he's got it in his head that he's going to marry her. Don't know why, Raissa is insufferable..." She rolls her eyes. "But he is madly in love with her and has been since we were children. So the night before I'm planning to leave, I've made a feast for the clan and we're celebrating. I think everyone must have gotten a little too drunk, because he tells my sister that he wants to talk to her about something important. So they're walking by the lake, and he proposes!"

Vesta laughs.

"Raissa was so surprised that she accidentally pushed him into the lake! Poor man, he was sopping wet and elbow deep in mud, and then she kicked him down even further by yelling that she refused! I felt so bad for him. Raissa was so embarrased, Granny was going to scold her but she ran off. I've never seen her so red in the face, it was hilarious!"

She claps her hands together.

"Raissa didn't even show up to complain about me leaving the next morning, she's probably going to hide her face for weeks."

Vesta grins from ear to ear, then takes another bite of breakfast.
