A Tovi arrives in town...

Vesta listens, nodding along to Selena's words.

"Yeah, I was so surprised when they said Sir Edgar used to be a death knight! He's so... alive!" She laughs. "The day that I meet a good werewolf, I might just sprout wings and fly away. My clan has a particular distaste for the beasts. We're rather particular about the moon and all."

She says this, but has a grin on her face as she does.

Selena chuckles. "Careful talking about sprouting wings." She turns slightly and flaps her small misshapen wings. "Might just happen around here." She laughs and waves her hand. "Just kidding. I pissed off a really old powerful fairie a long time ago."

She glances up to the sky, then back to Vesta. "Yeah, the moon is pretty. I don't like looking up at the stars and the night sky too often for too long though. Sometimes they still have messages for me, and they are not polite about how they deliver them. Even now in my old age, they still punch me in the face every now and then."

Vesta gasps as Selena turns, watching her wings move. At Selena's words, she calms, but still looks with curiosity.

"You've had quite the life of adventure it seems." Vesta looks up. "It's a shame that they are not kind to you. I find that I often seek them out for comfort."

She returns her gaze to Selena and smiles.

"I'm accompanying the Princess to the orphanage. Will you be joining us as well?"

Selena smiles, but shakes her head. "I'm going to let you three handle that. I'm not everyone's favorite person around here..."

"She scares de children."

"It was one time!"

Zinna scoffs and Selena rolls her eyes, turning her attention back to Vesta, finally swapping back to common. "I'd better be getting back to work anyway. And finding those books for you. It was nice to meet you. If you need anything, just ask one of my soldiers to find me, Zinna, or Sir Edgar."

Vesta smiles warmly, chuckling a bit.

"Will do. Thank you for coming to speak with me, I must admit I was a little scared at first. But any pretenses I've heard over the years don't hold any weight. You are lovely, and I'm glad to have met you, Knightmaster."

She turns towards the vardo, rolling up her sleeves.

"Alright. Cookie time."

Selena nods, then smirks and swaps back to tovi. "Just don't tell anyone. Can't have everyone thinking I'm nice."

She nods her head upwards towards Edgar and says something to him in draconian, and he responds in kind and salutes her as she leaves.

Zinna motions towards the trays of cookies and bowls with a smile. "Deese are ready to bake and dis is ready for joo to finish adding vatever joo vant. and she has scared de children more dan once."

Edgar smiles to Vesta and Zinna and quickly gets out of the way once Zinna gives him a head nod of approval.
